Flight of the Conchords Tour 2012
After many years of waiting, it looks like the Flight of the Conchords will be finally be touring in 2012...
The rumours first started when Bret McKenzie talked about touring in an interview in November 2011. During that interview, which can be read in full here, Bret stated:
"We’re planning to do solo tours at exactly the same time. On the same venues. And we’re going to play the same set list. We’ll play the same songs, simultaneously. We’re loosely planning to tour in the next six months, yeah."
Furthermore, he added that the creative team were looking at starting to put together a film for the Flight of the Conchords in 2012.
Rhys Darby further reinforced this in a radio interview with George FM of New Zealand, stating that he had been talking to Jemaine and Bret about making the film in 2012.

February Update: Hot off the press in an interview with Billboard.com.
Good news for Kiwis and Aussies, but not so good news for Brits and Americans. During the interview which was mostly about the Oscars / Muppets, including lunch at a table with Meryl Steep, Bret McKenzie stated that the Flight of the Conchords are 'about' to tour Australia and New Zealand.
His actual statement:
"We're about to tour Australia and New Zealand. We haven't toured there in years. Whereas we've been in America recently and I don't want to tour America until we've got some new material."
So, again, chances look good that we're going to see some Flight of the Conchords action again in 2012. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.
